What does Pride and Inclusivity mean to The Gay Fan Club?

As someone once said... we were all "Born This Way".

The Gay Rights movement has roots stemming back many generations with many stories of remarkable resilience; it's great practice to live in the present, but it's also worth giving space for how far we've come! Some notable moments in our history include the Stonewall Riots in New York in 1969 (where no one was killed lol), or the AIDS Epidemic in the 1980s where we first saw fans emerge in Dolores Park as a idol of our culture, or Massachusetts being the first U.S. State to legalize Gay Marriage in 2004. We're on the right track, baby!

We still have a ways to go, but we stand stronger together. For the gays of an older generation, we salute you, and for gays of a newer generation, join us in standing PROUD, setting an example, and loving yourself! A rainbow is accepted as our garb, but the power comes from not the symbolism, but rather in the bravery to unapologetically and openly be yourself, to love others for who they are, and sport these colors we've fought for with your head held high!

"No matter gay, straight, or bi', lesbian, transgender life...No matter Black, white or beige, chola, or Orient made. You're perfect, babe."
